I mean with two nephews and a niece born within the last 3 months, well, there's a lot of knitting to be done. J and O just had to have matching Baby Sophisticate sweaters. I mean, what else would they wear while being introduced to great literature...like Goodnight Moon, or Owl Babies, or Moo Baa LaLaLa (some of our favorite baby books.)
And then, for precious little L, I just could not resist Louise Cardigan from Kristen Rengren's Vintage Baby Knits. So sweet and delicate and girly (of course it had to be knit up in pink!)
Oh, sometimes it is tough work being an Auntie, trying to find every possible way to wrap these little ones in love. It's exciting to think about what discoveries they will make while inside the warm embraces of these sweaters. They've got so many good things coming their way.
